"Home's a Maze" is my first foray into game development, building on my experience as a 3D generalist. Previously, I've focused on projects like you would find on Black.Poser, but this game represents a new direction and serves as a foundation for future developments. I envision it evolving to include features like avatars, multiplayer modes, or even themed experiences such as a Backrooms-style adventure.
In this 3D web game, players are presented with a fresh maze to navigate each day. The goal is to reach the center, where a mysterious monolith awaits. The challenge lies in exploring the maze's intricate paths and finding the optimal route.
A unique aspect of "Home's a Maze" is its on-chain component. After solving a maze, players can mint their results as Polaroids on the blockchain. This feature not only creates a lasting digital memory of their achievement but also opens up possibilities for a leaderboard, competitions, and special in-game rewards.
Inspired by my previous 3D projects, the concept of the backrooms, and childhood memories of exploring complex and unfamiliar spaces, "Home's a Maze" blends nostalgia with the thrill of daily puzzles. It offers a captivating experience that invites players to revisit and challenge themselves every day.
I'm open to feedback.
